Cpt. Abdul Wahab Almaaitah

Founder, Father, Marine Consultant, Scuba Trainer

Captain Abdel is a true Aqaba diving pioneer and explorer. The Captain launched Arab Divers on a rich history of maritime knowledge and experience: a profound love of the sea led to a decorated career as a Naval Frogman and Seal, and the Captain has spearheaded over 2 dozen commercial diving projects throughout the Gulf region. He’s lived a lifetime of diving, and that’s where you’ll find him – the Captain keeps all our systems and equipment polished to perfection, and when he’s not underwater he’s preparing to get there.

Mo’ath Alma’aitah

Co-founder, Scuba Trainer

Mo’ath’s deep understanding of Training, aquatic ecosystems, IT, management and warm hospitality make him the perfect support for Arab Divers. You’ll find him in the Aqaba City office, developing Tourism and Transportation Services in Jordan and international. In his free time you see him teaching students and running around the dive school making sure our guests are always smiling. Sometimes it seems like he’s everywhere at once – how does he do it?

Obada Almaaitah

Co-founder, Scuba Trainer

You know how some people get a taste for something and they just can’t get enough? For Obada, it’s exercise and teaching – he’s taught physical education at the all levels in several schools/universities and enjoyed General Management in different fitness centers (InterContinental Aqaba, ...) but more than that, it’s the ocean. As soon as he laid eyes on the marvels waiting for him just below the surface of the Red Sea, he knew he’d never look back.

Obada’s live is teaching, all the way: as PADI Instructor Development Course Staff Instructor, Tec-Deep Instructor and EFR Instructor Trainer he covers the whole range of from beginner to professional education. Well, he does surface occasionally, plus his other duties as Operational Manager to provide with his team 24/7 service at Arab Divers.

Karin Stening

Karin’s visiting us from her own dive center on Lake Geneva. Extensive medical and safety training makes Karin a valuable asset on any dive trip, inspiring her students to share her passion for the dive life and SCUBA safety.

Urs Geissbuehler

With extensive experience in both fresh and saltwater diving – including some amazing river dives; be sure to ask him about it – plus an absolute dedication to quality in his own dive school, Urs and his wife, Karin, are very welcome additions to our team.

Sultan Shkakwa

Sultan loves to teach, and he’s on his way to becoming a PADI Course Director. With over 5000 dives logged and a solid record of dive centre management and diverse underwater experience, he’s like a swimming, smiling, SCUBA encyclopaedia.

Hani AL-Hourani

Born in Aqaba and familiar with all the diving conditions here, he can handle everything the sea throws at him and then some. His passion for marine ecosystems, protecting their inhabitants and the love for the underwater world is absolutely contagious.
